About the Centre
Challenger TAFE's Community Services Training Centre offers specialised training programs in the community services industry. The programs play a significant role in the training and development of people for employment and career advancement in all streams of community services.
We offer specialised training for the community services industries in:
- Child Care
- Teacher Assistant
- Community Work
- Marriage Celebrancy
- Disability Work
- Aged Care Work
Our highly-trained professional staff have substantial industry experience and have developed a range of training methods that meet the needs of the industry. The Centre delivers graduates who have been trained and assessed in the workplace.
We offer flexible training options for people working in the child care industry, and part-time training at a graduate level in community services management.
We maintain a strong partnership with industry via an Industry Advisory Board. This board is made up of four industry area sub-committees:
- Child Care
- Aged and Disability Work
- Teacher Assistant
- Community Work
All sub-committees comprise members from industry, local government, professional bodies and government departments.
