Community Services/Welfare Work

The Centre offers courses in the community services field in a range of specialities such as:

  • Community work
  • Disability work
  • Aged care work

Courses range from Certificate level III through to Graduate Certificate level studies and are available via a variety of training opportunities.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

  • Skills Recognition: Takes into account your existing skills and knowledge, including courses that are non-accredited, informal training or on-the-job training.
  • Mutual Recognition: If you have previously completed a qualification or part of a qualification with another organisation, you can use this and get it ‘transferred across’ to the new certificate.
  • Re-skilling: Where an ‘old’ qualification may be updated to a current industry recognised version.

For more general information about the RPL process, please visit the Exemptions page.

Online/CD Learning:

Units of many courses are also available via the internet or by disc, and offers a flexible way for employees to study around their work and family commitments.
