Vendor Qualifications
In addition to industry-relevant qualifications, the Centre also offers a wide range of product-specific and professional qualifications.
These have been developed by corporate organisations (such as Microsoft, Cisco, Novell, 3 Com etc) and by professional bodies (such as the British Computer Society, the Help Desk Institute or the Institute for the Management of Information Systems).
Vendor qualifications are internationally recognised and are industry or vendor specific.
For example, if employees need training in operating systems, they can study the Microsoft Certified Professional curriculum. They would then be eligible to sit an external examination to gain the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) qualification. This could then be extended to include the Microsoft Certified System Engineers (MCSE) qualification.
The Centre delivers training that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to sit the following vendor qualification examinations:
- International Computer Drivers License (ICDL)
- A+ Core Certification – Core Hardware and Operating Systems
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Essentials of IT
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
