About the Centre
The Visage Training Centre for Health and Lifestyle is focused on the training needs of the Health and Lifestyle industries.
The industries include; hairdressing, fashion, beauty, massage, nursing, sport and fitness. Visage’s highly trained professional staff have substantial industry experience and are qualified workplace trainers. Our excellent facilities include training salons for hairdressing, beauty, massage and nursing clinics and a fashion design and production outlet.
Kevin McKenzie, member of the Hairdressing Training Council and a salon owner in Mandurah says:
"I've been employing apprentices for 40 years now and I wouldn't want them to train anywhere else but here.
"What I really like is that Challenger TAFE sets a very high standard - so I know anyone who graduates from here will be well-qualified."
Individuals training at Visage are well-prepared for employment or promotion. Courses are nationally-accredited and recognised, so graduates can find work anywhere in Australia.
Many courses are flexible with a number of options for full-time and part-time students. A number of course units have continuous enrolment and self-paced learning, so prospective students can start their training at various times throughout the year.
The Centre also delivers several short courses that are adapted to the specific needs of individual workplaces who wish to develop a training program for their employees.
Courses can be delivered on campus, in the workplace or using a mixture of both locations, depending on industry needs and the resources available at each site.
Our staff at the Centre are qualified RPL assessors, so we can help employees who with relevant on or off-the-job skills obtain formal qualifications. For more information about RPL, please visit the Exemptions page.
