COMPANION ANIMALS

The Centre offers various short dog training courses for the general public as well as delivering training in National Qualifications for Dog Trainers as follows:

DOG TRAINING FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC CLASSES
Learn how to get your dog to do what you want - when you want!

  • Puppy Kindy
    - Saturdays for 4 weeks 3-4pm
    Puppies must be between 8-16 weeks old and must have had their first injection. Owners must present vaccination papers at their first class and bring a collar, lead and waterbowl. Classes are held inside the quarantine area at the Murdoch Campus.
  • Basic Dog Training/Transition Class
    - Saturdays for 4 weeks 3-4pm
    For dogs that have had no training i.e. 6-month old puppies. Classes are held on the grassed area at the rear of Murdoch Campus.
  • Dog Training - Good Companion
    - Saturdays for 8 weeks 1-2pm
    Dogs must be older than 16 weeks and fully immunised. Owners must present vaccination papers at their first class and bring lead, collar, water bowl, treats and particular toy if dog has one it likes for motivation training. Classes are held on the grassed area at the rear of Murdoch Campus.
