Client Information & Refund Policy - Lifestyle and Leisure courses

Concessions

Concession rates (where applicable) on tuition fees are available to persons and dependants of persons holding the following:

i.    Pensioner Concession Card
ii.   Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
iii.  Health Care Card
iv.  Persons who hold a Seniors’ Card issued by the Western Australian Office of Seniors’ Interests

PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY FOR CONCESSION must be shown at enrolment.

Refund Policy

Students are entitled to a full refund of fees and charges where:

  • A course is cancelled or re-scheduled to a time or location unsuitable to the student.
  • A student is not given a place due to the class being full.
  • A student withdraws prior to course commencement due to a serious illness, injury or disability that prevents the student from attending the course (medical certificate is required).

After the start of classes, a pro-rata refund of the tuition fee may be considered for serious medical reasons ONLY (medical certificate is required).
 
There are NO other grounds for refunds.

Applications for withdrawal from a course must be made in writing to The Manager at Challenger TAFE Adult Education, PO Box 124 Applecross WA 6953, or via email: adulteducation@challengertafe.wa.edu.au, or fax (08) 9237 4599.

Applications for refunds must be received by the end of the term.

Please note: Refunds can not be returned to your credit card.

Students with Special Needs

Wheelchair access is not available at all venues. If you require wheelchair access please contact us on 1300 300 252 to ensure accessibility.

If you have a special need that your lecturer will need to be aware of, please contact the Course Coordinator on 1300 300 252.

Public Holidays

There are no classes held on public holidays. If you require further clarification please call 1300 300 252.

Minimum Age

The minimum age to enrol into an adult education course is 16. Students under the age of 16 need written approval from a guardian and also their school Principal. Enrolment applications for students under 16 should be made to The Manager, Challenger TAFE Centre for Adult Education, PO Box 124, APPLECROSS WA 6953.

Course Fees

The course fees cover tuition and resource fees. You may be required to bring other materials for our classes at your expense. Course fees include GST. We suggest you wait a few days before class commencement to purchase materials or textbooks, to ensure that the course is not cancelled.
