Course fee exemptions
If you are unemployed you may be eligible for a reduced-fee course. Tuition fees will be waived for any publicly funded vocational education and training qualification, though resource fees will still be charged as applicable.
REDUCED FEES FOR UNEMPLOYED
Those identified as unemployed and provide evidence of this status through one of the following concessions may be eligible for reduced fees when studying at Challenger TAFE.
- Health Care Card – Job Seeker Allowance
- Health Care Card – Youth Allowance – Jobseeker
- Health Care Card – New Start
- Current Job Seeker ID issued by Centrelink or Job Network Member on their official letterhead.
The tuition fee exemption applies to one qualification for up to 12 months from the commencement of that qualification.
REDUCED FEES FOR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
All applicants applying for RPL will now receive a 50% reduction in their fees and applicants who have a concession may receive a further reduction on fees. Those applicants who are unemployed and can provided evidence of this (as above) will have their RPL applications processed for zero fees.
