Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

OSHC – is compulsory for “international student” visa holders. It is a condition (8501) they are required to adhere to as part of their visa. 

 
OSHC is arranged by the education provider – in the case of our students this is Education & Training International (ETI). The OSHC is usually arranged through ETI prior to you arriving in Australia and is sent to the college where it will be handed to you on orientation day. The OSHC card however may not be available for 3-4 weeks after arrival depending on the payment method made to ETI. You are covered from the date of arrival even though you may not yet hold the card. Should thecard not arrive or you are concerned about this please should contact the International Student Support Office (ISSO) or ETI.

If any students should need the services of a doctor and not have their OSHC card, PLEASE go to the doctor, pay your bill and keep the receipt. Once you have received your card you can make your claim with your receipt for a reimbursement.
