Diploma of Electrotechnology – Electronic Systems: This qualification prepares students for employment as an engineering technician. Students learn how to develop, select, commission, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions of electronic components/sub-assemblies, apparatus and systems. In these roles graduates will be qualified to perform duties associated with the installation, commissioning, evaluation, testing, fault-finding, repair and maintenance of equipment.

I have always been passionate about studying science and chose Challenger TAFE for its multi-faceted approach to teaching. My course is based on practical lab work and field trips so I know I will learn relevant skills quickly.

Diploma of Laboratory Technology: This qualification will provide you with broad technical scientific knowledge and skills, as well as the opportunity to develop specialised skills and knowledge, depending on the elective units you choose. You will learn skills in effective communication, leading and managing people, preparing and managing budgets, rostering staff, managing workplace relations and planning and establishing systems and procedures. You will also learn about hygiene and safety in the workplace, training and security procedures.
